NPA camp nakubkob

MANILA, Philippines - Nakubkob ng tropa ng militar ang malaking kampo ng mga rebeldeng New People’s Army na ikina­sugat ng dalawang sundalo sa 30-minutong bakbakan sa Toril District, Davao City noong Biyernes.

Ayon kay Captain Em­manuel Garcia, spokesman ng Army’s 10th Infantry Division, bandang alas-9:50 ng umaga nang maka­sagupa ng tropa ng 84th Infantry Battalion ang mga rebelde ng Front Com­mit­tee 54 sa Brgy. Sibulan.

Na­sugatan sina Private John Mark Colango at Pvt. Alexander Alborta. “They are on the run and our troops are currently on pursuit. They have suffered casualties in the exchange of fire but were carried by their comrades away as they fled,” paha­ yag na­man ni Col. Kurt Decapia, commander ng 84th IB.
