4,000 kawal ng AFP mananatili

MANILA, Philippines - Sa kabila ng pagbawi ni Pangulong Gloria Macapa­gal-Arroyo sa martial law, mananatili sa Maguin­danao ang 4,000 kawal ng Phil. Army.

Ayon sa hepe ng AFP Public Affairs na si Lt. Col. Romeo Brawner, ito ang direktiba ni AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Victor Ibrado upang mapanatili ang peace and order sa Ma­guin­danao.

Magpapatuloy ang pag­pa­patupad sa mga checkpoint, blocking operations at security patrols sa nasabing lugar.

Ang state of emergency ay idineklara sa Maguin­danao, Sultan Kudarat at Cotabato City kaugnay ng masaker na kumitil sa buhay ng 57 katao kabilang na ang 32 mediamen sa bayan ng Ampatuan, Ma­guindanao noong Nob­yembre 23.

 “We are back to our ope­rations that we conduct while the state of emergency was in effect and these are as I mentioned includes checkpoints, choke­­points and security patrols,” pa­ hayag ni Brawner.

Sa kasalukuyan, patu­loy ang manhunt operations laban sa mga arma­dong Citizen’s Volunteers Organization at Cafgu’s ng mga Ampatuan na isina­sang­kot sa Maguindanao massacre.

Sa gallery ng PNP ay nauna nang tinukoy ang pagkakakilanlan ng may 100 Cafgu’s at CVO’s ng mga Ampatuan.

 “The armed threat is still there kasi hindi pa naman nag-surrender lahat so during that time, prior to the declaration of martial law they were already grouped into several groups armed to the teeth and ready to attack,” ayon pa sa opisyal. Joy Cantos
