Convergence 2009, inilunsad

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Philippines – Isang bagong larangan sa pagpapalago ng ekonomiya ang isasagawa ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Cavite sa pamumuno ni Gov. Ayong S. Maliksi kung saan inilunsad ng Convergence 2009 sa Trece Martires City, Cavite noong Agosto 4-5, 2009. Ang Convergence 2009, na may temang Empowering the Filipino Through ICT, ay programang Information and Communications Technology Awareness para sa mga tinaguriang “next wave cities” sa bansa ng Commission on Information and Communications Technology, kasama ang Business Processing Association of the Philippines at ang Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations. 

Kabilang sina CICT-Cyber Services Group Commissioner Monchito Ibrahim at BPA/P CEO Oscar Sañez sa mga maglalahad sa posisyon ng Pilipinas sa ICT at Global Trends ng BPO/Industry. Ang dalawang araw na jobs fair at track sessions ay ginanap sa Legislative Building Session Hall sa Provincial Capitol Compound kung saan tinalakay ang Cyberservices, ICT Infrastructure, Human Capital Development at ang e-Government Development.

Kasabay nito, nagkaroon din ng career talks, education consultancy, career profiling assessments at jobs fair sa Cavite Provincial Gymnasium at nagsagawa rin ng BPO-IT site tour sa Teletech sa bayan ng Bacoor. (Arnell Ozaeta)
