Fighting Maroons target ang ‘twice-to-beat’ sa Bulldogs

MANILA, Philippines — Pupuntiryahin ng University of the Philippines ang ‘twice-to-beat’ incentive sa Final Four sa pagsagupa sa National University sa UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament sa UST Quadricentennial Pavilion Arena.

Lalabanan ng Figh­ting Maroons ang Bulldogs ngayong alas-3:30 ng hapon matapos ang upakan ng University of the East Red Warriors at Far Eastern University Tamaraws sa alas-12 ng tanghali.

Solo ng UP ang second spot sa kanilang 9-1 record at ang panalo sa NU (2-8) kasama ang kabiguan ng UE (6-4) sa FEU (3-7) ang tuluyan nang magbibigay sa Season 84 champions ng ‘twice-to-beat’ advantage kagaya ng hawak ng nagdedepensang De La Salle University.

“Each game would be a stepping stone for us to get better. Importante lang we should be healthy as a team din in a way. Slowly, we’ll still improve,” ani Fighting Maroons’ coach Goldwin Monteverde.

Samantala, tatarget din ng mahalagang panalo ang FEU na nasa ilalim ng University of Santo Tomas (5-6).
