Mas pinalaking 2016 Ronda Pilipinas lalarga na sa Peb. 20 sa Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines – Magpapakilala ang Ronda Pilipinas ng bagong innovations sa pamamagitan ng five-stage Min-danao leg na pepedal sa Butuan City, Cagayan de Oro, Malaybalay at Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon mula sa Feb. 20 hanggang 27.

Para makasabay sa international trend, nagdesis-yon ang Ronda organizers na magdaos ng kombinasyon ng road race, individual time trial at criterium races imbes na road race type na kanilang ginawa sa nakaraang limang edisyon.

Nasa kanilang ikaanim na edisyon, tututok ang Ronda na inihahandog ng LBC at suportado ng major sponsors na Manny V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation, Petron at Versa Radio-Tech 1 Corp. at minor sponsors na Maynilad at NLEX, hindi lamang sa paghahanap ng mga bagong talento kundi ang pagsasangkot sa mga fans sa community ride.

“We need to adapt to the way races are done in the world stage as this project is to groom champions for flag and country,” wika ni Ronda sports development head Moe Chulani.

“And also, we want all the cities, towns and pro-vinces we visit will have a chance to see our riders and our race the whole day and getting them involved because we will be a community ride for the first time ever,” dagdag pa nito.

Kumpara noon, magkakaroon ang Ronda, maglalatag ng malalaking premyo sa bawat stage at leg, ng tatlong magkakaibang overall winners mula sa Mindanao, Visayas at Luzon.

Ngayong taon ay hinihikayat ng Ronda, kinuha ang 3Q Sports na pinamumunuan nina Quin at Jojo Bater na katuwang si Rommel Bobiles na namahala sa Giro de Pilipinas sa Subic noong Oktubre, ang mga aspiring riders at mga fans na tangkilikin ang karera.

“LBC Sports Devt Corp. feels everyone should have the chance to join Ronda Pilipinas 2016, which is the fourth biggest race in the world in terms of distance covered, not just the elite riders,” ani Chulani. “That’s why Ronda Pilipinas 2016 will be a bigger and better event where we will have everyone including the executives and amateurs joining us,” dagdag pa nito.
