Golden State lalarong ‘di kasama si coach Steve Kerr
MANILA, Philippines - Lalaro ang NBA champion na Golden State Warriors na wala si head coach Steve Kerr sa simula ng 2015-16 season dahil nag-leave of absence ito noong Huwebes para magrekober mula sa operasyon sa likod.
Inihatid ng 50-gulang na si Kerr ang Warriors sa NBA championship sa kanyang unang season bilang coach ngunit nao-perahan siya para ayusin ang naputol na disc noong July bago naoperahan uli noong nakaraang buwan.
“After the first two days of training camp, I realized I need to take a step back and focus on my rehabilitation in order to be ready for the grind of another NBA season,” sabi ni Kerr sa kanyang statement. “As I noted last week, my summer was difficult and no fun due to the multiple back surgeries. At this point, I simply want to get healthy and back to my normal daily routine on and off the court.”
Sisimulan ng Warriors, kumopo ng kanilang ikaapat na NBA title sa pamamagitan ng 4-2 series victory kontra sa Cleveland noong June, ang kanilang 2015-16 regular season sa Oct. 27 sa kanilang home court laban sa New Orleans Pelicans.
Si Luke Walton, ang lead assistant coach ng Golden State ang magsisilbing interim head coach habang wala si Kerr.
