PBA Youngstars lalarga na sa Abril
MANILA, Philippines - Higit sa 7,000 ballers na may edad 13 hanggang 16-anyos mula sa siyudad, probinsya at munisipalidad sa bansa ang naghahanda para sa third Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars sa susunod na buwan sa iba’t ibang venues.
“We are happy with the response of the local communities and teens who participated in the try-outs and basketball clinics. Since we started the program in 2012, we were able to promote active, healthy participation in over 6,000 teens. We look forward to engaging more teens in the coming years as we inspire them to move and be active through their favorite sports,†sabi ni Atty. Adel Tamano, ang vice president for Public Affairs and Communications ng Coca-Cola Philippines.
Ang pagtulong ng Coca-Cola Philippines patungo sa promosyon ng kalusugan ay bahagi ng kanilang global sustainability framework na tumututok din sa programa sa economic empowerment at water ste-wardship ng kababaihan.
“The past few years that we have been partnering with Coca-Cola have been very fruitful. Now that the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars is on its third year, we are more excited to tap more youth to participate in sports such as basketball,†ani PBA commissioner Atty. Chito Salud.
Sa buong mundo, ang kumpanya ay sumusuporta sa 280 aktibong healthy living programs sa 115 bansa. Ilan sa mga programang inilunsad ng kumpanya sa bansa ay ang Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars, Coca-Cola Football Festival at ang Million Volunteer Run katambal ang Philippine Red Cross.
Ang Metro Manila tryouts ay magsisimula sa Abril 01 na sasakop sa Valenzuela, Las Piñas, Taguig, Quezon City, Marikina, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Manila, Parañaque, Pasig, San Juan at Antipolo.
Ang provincial tryouts ay gagawin sa Pampanga, Baguio, Pangasinan, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, Zamboanga, Davao at Cagayan de Oro.
