PAF-C130 naghatid ng food packs sa habagat victims sa Batanes
MANILA, Philippines — Naghatid ang C130 plane ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) ng mga food packs sa mga residenteng matinding naapektuhan ng malalakas na pag-ulang dulot ng habagat sa lalawigan ng Batanes, ayon sa isang opisyal kahapon.
Sinabi ni Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo, Chief ng Public Affairs Office ng PAF, nasa mahigit 800 food packs ang inihatid ng kanilang mga piloto at crew gamit ang C130 plane sa Basco, airport.
“These food packs were provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office for the residents of Batanes,” pahayag ni Castillo sa relief operations kamakalawa.
Ayon kay Castillo, sumama rin sa relief operations ang mga reservists ng PAF, Philippine Navy Marines, Bureau of Fire Protection officers at mga empleyado ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Batanes.
“The PAF’s response demonstrates its commitment to serving the nation and providing assistance to those affected by natural disasters,” ang sabi pa ng opisyal.
Nagpasalamat naman ang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan sa PAF sa matagumpay na relief missions sa kanilang lugar.
