Almadro nagulat sa ipinakita ng Gazz Angels
MANILA, Philippines — Masaya si head coach Oliver Almadro na nadala niya ang Petro Gazz sa Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Finals.
Napigilan ng Gazz Angels ang PLDT High Speed Hitters sa Game Three ng kanilang best-of-three semifinals sa bendisyon ng 25-17, 25-23, 25-15 panalo para makabalik sa finals.
Tinapos ng Petro Gazz ang serye sa 2-1.
“Well first, I thank the Lord for the strength. As they’ve said, the Lord will move to put you in the right direction. So, I didn’t know, I’m not expecting to be in the finals right away, I really didn’t... I really didn’t expect this. I really thank these girls because they trusted me right away. And you know, finals right away, it’s a big blessing,” ani Almadro.
Bago pumasok sa Gazz Angels ay naging coach muna si Almadro ng Choco Mucho sa loob ng ilang taon.
Ngunit nagpasya siyang lisanin ang Flying Titans noong nakaraang taon.
Kaya naman masaya si Almadro sa tiwalang ibinigay sa kanya ng Petro Gazz management.
“Everybody wants to be in this position and many teams will underestimate us. But we will show the performance, it will show for itself how far the Lord will take us. What strength, what might the Lord give us, we will just accept it and show it to the people that we are a team and we are one. We have one goal to reach the destination so this is really a process and journey for us, so, we really thank the Petro Gazz family for trusting in us,” ani Almadro.
Subalit hindi pa tapos ang kaban.
Haharap sa matinding pagsubok ang Gazz Angels na sasagupain ang defending champion Creamline Cool Smashers sa finals.
Magsisimula ang Game One ng best-of-three championship showdown bukas sa alas-6:30 ng gabi sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City.
