Suede, Narayanan kumakaway sa titulo

TAGAYTAY CITY, Philippines--Tinalo nina defending champion International Master Srinath Narayanan ng India at Mikee Charlene Suede ng Pilipinas ang kanilang mga karibal sa eighth round para tumiyak ng titulo sa 2014 Asian Juniors and Girls Championships sa Tagaytay International Convention Center.

Pinayuko ni Narayanan si Bangladeshi Haque Siam Ikramul para sa kanyang 7.0 points at tuluyan nang iwa­nan si FIDE Master Paulo Bersamina (6.0) sa karera para sa Open division crown.

Tinalo naman ni Suede si Marie Antoinette San Die­go para ilista ang kanyang 6.5 points at ungusan si Indian WFM J Saranya (5.5) sa girls division ng torneo para sa mga players na may edad 20-anyos pababa.

Habang isinusulat ito ay nilalabanan pa ni top-see­ded Narayanan si Renz Marvin Santos (1.0) at si Suede laban kay Indian Pv Nandhidhaa (5.0) sa ninth at final round.

 Kahit na matalo sina Narayanan at Suede at manalo naman sina Bersamina at Saranya sa kani-kanilang mga laban ay makakamit pa rin nina Narayanan at Suede ang korona kapag ginamit ang tiebreak.
