Easy money kay Mayweather tinalo si Alvarez via majority decision

LAS VEGAS--Dinomina ni Floyd Mayweather, Jr. si Canelo Alvarez via majo­rity decision sa kanilang laban sa MGM Grand Hotel.

Ito ang pang-45 sunod na panalo ng 36-anyos na si Maywea­ther na inangkin ang World Boxing Council at World Boxing Association junior middleweight crown ng 23-anyos na si Alvarez.

Ibinulsa rin ni Mayweather ang pinakama­laking premyo sa boxing history sa tumataginting na $41 milyon.

“It  is  about skills. I came out tonight and showed my skills. It is about performance,” wika ni Mayweather (45-0-0, 26 knockouts) sa kanyang panalo kay Alvarez (42-1-1, 30 KOs) na sinaksihan ng kabuuang 16,746 manonood sa Grand Garden Arena.

Ginamit niya ang kanyang jab at superior hand speed para talunin si Alvarez.

Nakakuha si Mayweather ng 117-111 at 116-112, habang isang judge ang humatol ng 114-114 draw para kay Alvarez.

“Im not in control of what the judges do,” wika ni Mayweather. “I am in shock whoever had it even. Things happen in the sport of boxing.”

Ito ang ikalawang sunod na laban ni Maywea-ther matapos mapalabas ng kulungan dahil sa pananakit sa ina ng kanyang mga anak.

Sa round seven pinaulanan ni Floyd si Canelo ng mga kombinasyon bukod pa sa pagkonekta ng kanyang right uppercut na tumama sa Mexican star.

“I couldn’t catch him,” sabi ni Alvarez kay Mayweather. “He is very intelligent and he is very elusive and that is what he demons­trated tonight.”

Naunang umakyat ng boxing ring si Alvarez kasunod si Mayweather na sinamahan nina rap artist Lil Wayne at Canadian teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.
