Higit 6K unregistered vehicles, huli ng LTO
MANILA, Philippines — Nakahuli ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) ng mahigit 6,000 unregistered vehicles sa unang 15 araw ng Hunyo kaugnay ng ipinatutupad na “No Registration, No Travel” policy.
Ayon kay LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza, ang pinaigting na operasyon laban sa mga unregistered vehicles ay paalala sa mga motorista na maiparehistro ang kanilang mga sasakyan. “The renewal of the registration is not only an obligation to the government, it is also an obligation to yourself and your family because doing so would compel you to ensure the road worthiness of your motor vehicles, for your safety, for the safety of your love ones,” sabi ni Mendoza.
Sa data ng LTO, sa 6,064 motor vehicles na nahuli, ang 5,127 sasakyan dito ay motorsiklo at ang natitira ay mga four-wheel vehicles na ang 34 dito ay pampasaherong jeep at ang pito ay pampasaherong bus.
Nasa kabuuang 5,470 apprehended vehicles ay naisyuhan ng violation tickets habang 981 sasakyan ang na-impound.
