Hollywood adaptation ng OTJ, hindi pa malinaw!

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Mother Lily Monteverde is keeping her fingers crossed na matuloy na ngang talaga ang balak ng isang Hollywood firm to adapt into a foreign movie ang critically acclaimed On the Job (OTJ), which her son Dondon Monteverde co-produced for his Reality Entertainment, with Star Cinema. Directed by Erik Matti, OTJ starred Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Rayver Cruz, Shaina Magdayao, at Joel Torre.

Featured is Angel Aquino. Introducing naman si Dawn Jimenez.

As it is, happy daw siya that a foreign distributor ay ipinalabas ang OTJ in France, North America, and Japan. Did we hear it right na tumataginting na $300,000 plus ang natanggap ng Star Cinema at Reality Entertainment bilang kabayaran from the foreign distributor?

Susog pa ni Mother Lily, “I congratulate Dondon for a job well done.

“Sana magpatuloy pa ang pag-produce nila at ng Star Cinema ng mga movie, na puwede nating ipagmalaki abroad. And at the same time earn us dollars.”

Of Mother Lily’s own (Regal Entertainment, Inc.) film, Status: It’s Complicated, in theaters nationwide, happy daw siya with its box-office results. Considering nga naman the bad reports hounding the country because of the devastation brought about by Typhoon Yolanda, okay ang pelikula sa takilya.

According pa to Mother Lily, on the film’s opening day, Status: It’s Complicated grossed more than expected.

Feel ng producer what sustains the movie is that it’s well made. Directed by Chris Martinez, Status: It’s Complicated stars Jake Cuenca, Paulo Avelino, Maja Salvador, Solenn Heussaff, and Eugene Domingo.

Regal Entertainment, dugtong ni Mother Lily, is currently filming Let’s Take a Chance, starring Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez, with Jun Lana directing.

Roderick nakapag-ipon dahil sa pagba-bakla

Back to TV si Roderick Paulate, who, for a time, chose to concentrate on his political career.

A second termer as councilor ng Quezon City’s second district, Roderick said, alam niyang his constituents will understand ang kanyang desisyon to revive his TV career. It was his bread and butter bago siya pumalaot sa pulitika.

Roderick shares shooting honor with his former perennial co-host, Amy Perez, sa second season ng reality singing show na The Singing Bee. Here, according to Dick (his pet name), contestants are given the chance to participate kahit wala siyang gaanong magandang boses, basta lang makaawit at maitawid niya ang kanyang pagkanta.

“Tulad ni Amy,” biro niya.

As a former child actor, Dick was a “strike anywhere” performer. He can sing, dance, and, of course, act. His specialty? Doing gay roles.

‘Di na raw mabilang sa daliri ang mga pelikulang ginampanan niya na gumanap siyang bakla.

And it was worth it. It earned him the money. Na siyang dahilan why at an early age ay nakatulong na siya, kahit paano, sa kanyang mga magulang.

A college graduate, Roderick finished his studies, majoring in theater arts in University of the Philippines.
