Sa exhibition game ng Team USA sa Las Vegas, Nevada: George nabali ang kanang binti

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Sa gabing katatampukan sana ng pagbabalik ni Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose mula sa isang knee injury, nagkaroon naman si In­diana Pacers All-Star Paul George ng seryosong leg injury sa exhibition game ng Team USA sa Thomas & Mack Center.

Sa fourth quarter ay tinangka ni George na supalpalin ang fastbreak layup ni Houston Rockets’ guard James Harden.

Ngunit sa kanyang pagbagsak sa sahig ay tumama ang kanyang kanang binti sa basket stanchion at tuma­bingi.

Kaagad nagpaabot ng kanilang suporta sina Har­den, LeBron James ng Cleveland Cavaliers at Blake Grif­fin ng Los Angeles Clippers.

“Man just landed and got a message about @Paul_George24. Made me immediately sick to my sto­mach!! Praying for u a speedy recovery homie!!!,” sabi ni James sa kanyang Twitter account.

“Prayers go out to @Paul_George24 and his fa­mily! Keep ya head up G!,” wika ni Harden.

Ipinanalangin din ni Griffin ang mabilisang pagba­ngon ni George mula sa naturang leg injury.

“Prayers up to @Paul_George24 hate to see that happen to anyone,” ani Griffin.

Sa kabila ng inaasahang mahabang pag-recover, positibo pa rin ang pagtanggap dito ni George.

“Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I’ll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y’all!! #YoungTrece,” ani George.

Ikinalungkot din nina Larry Bird, ang President for Basketball Operations ng Pacers, at ni NBA Commissioner Adam Silver ang nangyari kay George.

Umaasa silang kaagad makakabalik si George sa aksyon matapos ang nasabing leg injury.
