Nagdiwang ang Perpetual Junior Altas matapos makamit ang kauna-unahang NCAA crown.

MANILA, Philippines — Hindi na pinakawalan ng Junior Altas ang pagkakataaon para magkampeon.

Niratrat ng University of Perpetual Help System DALTA ang College of St. Benilde-La Salle-Greenhills, 101-67, sa ‘do-or-die’ Game Three ng NCAA Season 100 juniors basketball finals kahapon sa FilOil EcoOil Centre sa San Juan City.

Ito ang unang juniors basketball crown ng Perpetual sapul nang sumali sa NCAA noong 1984.

“This is the best game na nakita ko sa kanila and they made an exclamation point,” wika ni coach Jpoph Cleopas na humugot ng magandang laro kina Most Valuable Player Lebron Jhames Daep, Jan Roluna, Jericho Cristino, Icee Callangan, JD Pagulayan at Dan Rosales.

Bigo naman ang CSB-LSGH na makamit ang ikalawang titulo matapos maghari noong 2017.

Isinara ng tropa nina Perpetual team manager at Vice President for Sports Anton Tamayo at UPHSD president Dr. Richard Anthony Tamayo sa 2-1 ang kanilang  best-of-three title series ng Greenies ni mentor Ren-Ren Ritualo Jr.

Nagsalpak ang Junior Altas ng limang three-point shots, ang tatlo ay galing kay Rosales, para ibaon ang Greenies sa first period, 32-18.

Walang naiskor si star guard Guillian Quines sa nasabing yugto bago kumamada ng 12 points sa second quarter para sa CSB-LSGH na iniwanan ng Perpetual sa halftime, 58-38.

Mula rito ay tuluyan nang nakalayo ang Junior Altas sa second half patungo sa panalo.
