Lim pumuwesto sa No. 22 sa ITF world rankings

MANILA, Philippines – Sumulong si junior netter Alberto Lim Jr. sa ika-22 puwesto sa world ranking na inilabas ng International Tennis Federation (ITF).

Nakalikom ang 16-an­yos na si Lim ng 510 puntos sa singles at 590 puntos sa doubles upang makamit ang pinakamataas na puwesto sa ITF rankings sa kanyang karera.

Dahil sa kanyang kasalukuyang puwesto sa world ranking, makasisiguro na si Lim ng awtomatikong silya sa main draw ng 2016 Australian Open Juniors Championships na gaganapin sa Melbourne, Australia sa Enero 23 hanggang 30

Malaking puntos ang nakuha ni Lim nang magkampeon ito sa China Junior 14 sa Nanjing noong Agosto (150 puntos), Delhi ITF Juniors sa India noong Enero (100) at India ITF Junior 1 sa New Delhi noong Enero rin (60).

May 80 puntos rin ito sa kanyang pagtuntong sa semifinal ng 25th Sarawak Chief Minister’s Cup ITF Junior Tennis Championship sa Malaysia noong Marso, at tig-60 sa pag-abot ng quarterfinal stage ng Prince George’s County International Hard Court Junior Tennis Championship sa United States noong Agosto at Seogwipo Asia Oceania Closed Junior Championships sa South Korea noong Nobyembre.

Maliban sa tatlong singles titles, nakasiguro rin si Lim ng apat na korona sa doubles - Asian Closed Junior Championships sa India (120), Seogwipo Asia Oceania Closed Junior Championships (120), 25th Sarawak Chief Mi­nister’s Cup ITF Junior Tennis Championship (100) at China Junior 14 (100).
