20 teams magsisipaan ngayon sa UFL Cup
MANILA, Philippines - Sisipa ngayong araw ang United Football League (UFL) Cup sa University of Makati Football Field tampok ang 20 koponan kasama ang nagdedepensang Air Force Phoenix.
Ang mga laro ay isasaere tuwing Martes sa AKTV sa IBC 13 simula sa alas-5 ng hapon.
Sa pagsisimula ng quarterfinals sa Nobyembre, ang sports channel ay magpapalabas ng dalawang live games tuwing Martes at Huwebes.
“We are proud to bring UFL action to primetime, which we think is the best time for Filipinos to watch football. At the end of the day, we want more sports fans to appreciate the beauty of football especially since we have more teams that are part of the League. The UFL is the league that we can call our own,” ani Sports5 Manager Vitto Lazatin.
Ang 2011 UFL Cup defending champions Air Force Phoenix ay muling babanderahan nina Chieffy Caligdong, Ian Araneta at Yanti Barsales.
Muli namang maghahamon ang runner-up Loyola Meralco Sparks na pamumunuan nina Phil at James Younghusband, Yeong Yeol Jeong, Ref Cuaresma at Anton Gonzales.
Napanatili naman ng League champion Global FC ang kanilang line-up na kinabibilangan nina Carli de Murga, Izzu Elhabib at Misagh Bahadoran, habang itatampok ng runner-up Kaya FC sina Aly Borromeo, Nate Burkey, Anton Del Rosario, OJ Portiera at Antonio Ugarte.
