Abueva handang ibigay ang 100% performance sa Aces

MANILA, Philippines -  Hindi siya isang ma­laking player na kagaya ni 6-foot-10 No. 1 overall pick Junmar Fajardo ng Petron Blaze.

Ngunit alam ni Alaska head coach Luigi Trillo na handang makipaglaban at magpakamatay si 6’2 No. 2 overall pick Calvin Abueva ng San Sebastian College sa bawat posesyon.

At dahil na rin sa kanyang pagiging agresibo ay madalas nabibigyan ang power forward na si Abueva ng technical foul sa NCAA at PBA D-League.

“We know all about his tendency to get technical fouls, but that’s because he’s a guy with such immense energy, power and bump,” wika ni Trillo kay Abueva.

Nagposte si Abueva, ng mga averages na 20.4 points, 17.4 rebounds at 6.8 assists per game sa siyam na laro ng Stags sa kasalukuyang 88th NCAA season.

Makakasabayan ni Abueva sa Alaska, tumapos na may 11-24 win-loss record sa nakaraang PBA Commissioner’s at Governors Cup, sina 6’7 Sonny Thoss, 6’5 Gabby Espinas at point guard L.A. Tenorio.

Bukod kay Abueva ang iba pang nakuha ng Aces sa Rookie Draft ay sina 5’9 Raffy Reyes ng University of the East at 6’3 Fil-Am Karl Dehesa ng Waldorf College.
