MANILA, Philippines - Pag-aaralan ng championship committee ng World Boxing Organization (WBO) ang kontro­bersyal na split decision win ni Timo­thy Bradley, Jr. laban kay Manny Pacquiao noong Linggo sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sinabi ni WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel na gusto niyang malaman kung nasunod ang “rules of procedure” sa naturang laban nina Pacquiao at Bradley.

Magtatakda ng pulong ang WBO championship committee para pag-aralan ang video ng Pacquiao-Bradley fight kasama ang limang “recognized international judges”.

Ang championship committee ang gagawa ng rekomendasyon sa WBO.

“I want to clarify that in no way this says that we are doubting the capacity of these judges, which we consider as honest and competent judges,” wika ni Valcarcel.

Mariing tinuligsa ng mga boxing experts, offi­cials at fans ang naturang panalo ng 28-anyos na si Bradley laban sa 33-anyos na si Pacquiao na inagawan niya ng WBO welterweight crown.

Nagbigay si judge Jerry Roth kay Pacquiao ng 115-113 iskor, samantalang parehong 115-113 iskor ang ipinagkaloob nina judges C.J. Ross at Duane Ford kay Bradley para sa split decision win ng American fighter.

Kinuwestiyon ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions ang kakayahan ng tatlong judges, ang ginawang selection process ng Nevada State Athletic Commission at ang katotohanan na lahat sila ay taga-Nevada.

Hiniling na ni Arum, inihayag na ang kontrobersyal na split decision win ni Bradley ay dahil sa ‘incompetence’ ng tatlong judges at hindi ‘corruption’, ang Nevada Attorney General’s office para sa isang “for a full and complete inquiry.”

Sinuportahan naman ni US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ng Nevada ang imbestigasyon ukol sa naturang kontrobersya.

“If an investigation makes everyone feel better, do the investigation,” wika ni Reid, matalik na kaibigan ni Arum at ikinampanya ni Pacquiao.
