PBA magdaraos pa ng mga laro sa Dubai

MANILA, Philippines - Mas mahahalagang laro ang maaaring gawin ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) sa Du­bai, United Arab Emirates.

Ito ang sinabi ni PBA commissioner Chito Salud ukol sa posibleng pagdaraos nila ng isang quarterfinals series o finals game sa UAE para masiyahan ang mga Filipino Overseas Workers (OFWs).

“Please note that we’re already holding official PBA games here, not exhibition matches. To show more love and affection to our ka­babayans here, at the right time, we may bring playoff matches,” wika ni Salud.

Sa Dubai nangyari ang masaklap na eksperyensa ng Talk 'N Text noong nakaraang PBA Governors Cup matapos magkaroon ng problema sa promoter na si Ramon Pizarras na hindi binayaran ang hotel bills at biyaheng pabalik ng Tropang Texters.

Si Pizarras ay kasalukuyang nakakulong sa central jail dahil sa isa pang kaso.

“We even tried to arrange a jail visit. But appa­rently, they have a short vi­siting time here. We can’t be accommodated,” sabi ni Salud kay Pizarras.

Nagkaroon si Pizarras ng utang na P1.5 milyon sa pro league mula sa dalawang PBA games sa Dubai no­ong 2011.

Nakipag-ugnayan naman ang PBA kay San Fer­nando, Pampanga native Edwin Daeng para sa two-game series sa Dubai na tinatampukan ng Rain or Shine, Barangay Ginebra at Barako Bull.

Kasalukuyan pang nag­lalaro ang Elasto Painters at Energy habang isinusu­lat ito.

Maghaharap naman nga­yong alas-7 ng gabi ang Rain or Shine at Ginebra.
