PALEMBANG, Indonesia --- Nakasisiguro na si two-time national open women’s champion WFM Rulp Ylem Jose ng silver medal sa 26th Southeast Asian Games bagamat may isa pang laro.

Nanaig naman si WGM Irine Kharisma Sukandar ng Indonesia kay Isawan Srijomtong ng Thailand.

Sina Thi Mai Hung at WGM Irine Kharisma Su­kan­dar ng Indonesia ay kap­wa nagtala ng magkaparehong 1.5 points.

Ngunit ang paboritong si GM Wesley So ay na­­talo kay GM Susanto Mega­ranto ng Indonesia sa men’s standard competition na nagpalabo sa tsansa ng bansa para sa gold medal.

Napataas ni Megaranto ang record sa 3.0 points, ha­bang napako si So sa 2.0 points kagaya nina GM Cao Sang ng Vietnam at FM Kyaw Lin Naing ng Myan­mar.

Sina GM Oliver Barbo­sa, GM Rogelio "Joey" An­tonio Jr., WIM Catherine Pe­rena at WFM Cherry Ann Mejia ay tuluyan nang na­sibak sa men’s at wo­mens rapid play na dinomi­na ng mga Vietnamese.
