CEBU, Philippines - Nanghawod ang Sta. Fe ug Naga sa Invitational Beach Volley Tournament nga gipasiugdahan sa Cebu Volleyball Association (CEVA) niadtong miaging adlaw didto sa bag-ong nahuman nga Parkmall beach sand courts sa Mandaue reclamation area.

Ang duo nilang Mary Luilyn Paciño ug Danalie Baquiro sa lungsod sa Sta. Fe mipukan nilang Czarri Ernestine Cañete ug Anne Toong sa Liloan, 25-18 aron pagsakmit sa women's title.

Sila si Paciño ug Baquiro, kinsa niduwa alang sa Southwestern University women's volleyball team, miharos og daog sa ilang tulo ka duwa sa eliminasyon aron pag-abante sa final.

Sila si Athena Sucalit ug Catherine Marquez sa Catmon ang mi-okupar sa ikatulong dapit gisundan nilang Melfa Gador ug Girlie Marie Carba sa Moalboal alang sa ikaupat nga dapit.

Sa men's division, ang tandem nilang Concon Castro ug Eugene Omani sa Naga mibuntog nilang Joel Patigayon ug Constancio Estella sa Talisay City, 25-20.

Wala damha nga modaog sila si Castro ug Omani gumikan kay ikaduha lang sila sa eliminasyon sa ilang 2-1 nga baraha sunod sa Liloan nga adunay limpiyong rekord, 3-0.

"This is our way of promoting the beach volley sport to boom here in Cebu. This tourney also served as an exposure to our local players coming from the different areas of Cebu who were not able to make it in the Nestea Beach Volley eliminations," matud pa ni CEVA president Glen
