RP Harbour Centre nagkasya sa runner-up finish

JAKARTA — Umiskor si Jason Castro ng 21 points at nagbalik ang outside shooting na nawala sa Harbour Centre-Philippine team upang igupo ang Malaysia 89-79 sa Southeast Asian Basketball Association Champions Cup noong Linggo ng gabi sa Satria Mudra-Britama Arena.

Ang tagumpay ay nag-kaloob sa RP Squad ng second place na hindi makalimutan ang pagkatalo sa Indonesia na dumiskaril sa kanilang pinapangarap na titulo.

“I commend the boys for what they’ve shown,” ani Harbour Centre owner Mikee Romero. “All of them played their hearts out and although we were short-handed, we were still able to finish the tournament on a positive note with the win.”

Bukod kay Castro, nag-deliber din sina TY Tang at Jonathan Fernandez.

Tumapos si  Fernandez ng 19 points kabilang ang apat na  three pointers kasunod si Tang na may 11 puntos.

Pinangunahan ni import Chris Kuete ang Malaysia sa kanyang game-high 33 points para sa kanilang third place finish at kulelat ang Thailand.
