Ramirez ‘Di Pabor sa ginawa ng Pinoy Boxers

Hindi pabor si Philippine Sports Commission chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez sa pagsasalarawan ng protetsa ng Philippine boxing team kung saan bagamat umakyat ng ring ay hindi naman tinapos ang laban na ikinaresulta ng pagkawala sa posibleng gold.

“What should have been done is to take a step back, draw a deep breath and not let emotions affect your decision,” wika ni Ramirez. “Naging emotional kasi masyado and that, I believe, is not the right route to take, especially in an international sporting competition such as these games.”

Tinutukoy ni Ramirez ang pag-aproba nina RP chef de mission Monico Puentevella, POC second vice president Manny Lopez, POC secretary-general Steve Hontiveros at wushu president Julian Camacho, sa ginawa ng mga Pinoy boxers.

 “The boxers should all have been made to fight because that’s the sporting thing to do,” ani Ramirez. “Kung hindi sila sport, hindi tayo dapat bumaba sa level nila.”
