5-bronzes sa RP riders

BANGKOK — Uuwi ang Philippine cycling team na may bitbit na limang bronze medals mula sa Round 1 at 2 ng Asian Cycling Confederation Asia Cup track championships. matapos makakuha ng dalawa pa noong Huwebes.

Pagkatapos nito, pagtutuunan naman ng pansin ng mga RP riders ang kanilang kampanya sa 15th Asian Games na gaganapin sa Doha, Qatar sa December.

"The cyclists are proud of their accomplishment and if they officially make the Team Philippines to Doha, then they would peak just in time," ani national coach Jomer Lorenzo, na inasistihan nina track coach Joselito Santos at Dindo Querimit.

Ang Philippine team na ipinadala rito ng PhilCycling na pinamumunuan nina Bert Lina sa tulong ng pondo ng Philippine Sports Commission at suporta ng Air21, Mail and More, Dos-1, Elixir Sports and Trifemme Sports ay nakakuha din ng bronze medal kina Baby Marites Bitbit na nanalo sa women's 500-meter individual time trial at sa individual pursuit sa Ipoh at mula kina Alfie Catalan, Marcelo, Carlo Jasul at Curtan sa men's team pursuit sa Bangkok.
