Vietnam, Laos at 14 NSAs wala pang official entries

Hindi pa nakakapag-sumite ng line-up ang Vietnam at Laos ng kanilang official entries habang 14 sports disciplines mula sa Philippines ay wala pang final line up para sa nalalapit na 23rd Southeast Asian Games.
Ang deadline ng submission ng entry by name ay noon pang Oct. 31 ngunit nagdesisyon ang Support Management Group ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHILSOC) na i-extend ang submission ng final line up ng isang linggo pa para bigyan ng panahon ang dalawang member countries.
"We learned that Vietnam was hit by a strong typhoon over the weekend, while Laos has informed us that it still awaiting the results of the final selection of some of the sports associations," ani Support Committee chief Nestor Ilagan.
Ayon sa technical official, sinabihan na rin niya ang14 sports associations na isumite ang kanilang complete line up para ma-record at ma-accredition ang kanilang mga athletes at officials.
Ang mga sports associations na wala pang line-up patungo sa huling 22-araw bago itanghal ang SEA Games ay ang athletics, basketball, boxing, canoeing, equestrian, pencat silat, golf, gymnastics, lawn bowls, kayak, petanque, rowing, sepak takraw, softball at volleyball.
Ang host team ang pinakamalaking delegasyon base sa entry by numbers na may 892 (529 men at 363 women) athletes na sasabak sa lahat ng 41 sports na paglalabanan sa biennial meet sa Nov. 27-Dec. 5.
Ang Thailand na pangungunahan ni Princess Sirivanna Nariritana na sasabak sa badminton ay may 780 (473-343) kasunod ang Indonesia, 779 (443-336) at Malaysia, 613 (369-24).
