Tanauan Army chessers kampeon sa Alabang chessfest

NAGKAMPEON ang 9th seed Tanauan City-Army chess team sa katatapos na 2nd Alabang 2050 and below chess team championships na tinampukang "Alabang chairman Vic Ulanday Chess Cup " kamakalawa ng gabi sa Alabang Town Center sa Muntinlupa City.
Ang Tanauan City-Army chess team ay nakalikom ng 6.5 puntos at binubuo nina NM Darwin Laylo at US Master Rico Salimbagat na pambato ng Philippine Army chess team, come backing player Gabriel Layesa, Shell junior grand champion Daniel Causo, US bound Chito Lat at Edwin Castillo na ti-nanggap ang P 25,000 plus trophies at medals sa 7 round Swiss system ng torneong ito na ginamitan ng match point format at sinuportahan din nina Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, Vice Mayor Jojay Alcaraz, councilor's Raul Corro at Juhn Carlos, Lipovitan-IRA, San Mig Pub-ATC, Webshuttle Computer Center na inorganisa ng Southern Chess Association (SCA) directors.
Nasa ika-2 puwesto naman ang PSGDO-Laguna sa gabay nina Jun Mantupar at Willy Abalos na kumolekta ng 6.0 puntos para tanggapin ang P15,000 plus trophies at medals.
Habang ika-3 puwesto naman ang Cavite GMA na may 5.5 puntos para iuwi ang P10,000 plus trophies at medals.
Ang mga nanalo sa kate-gorya ay ang P.A. Alvarez Realty (top private com-pany); D.A.R. (top goverment agency); San Sebastian School "B" (top school) at Ms. Edelred De Jesus (best muse).
Hinirang namang indivi-dual board champion ay sina board 1 NM Roderick Nava at IM Richard Bitoon; board 2 Truman Hernaez at Ri-chard Villaseran; board 3 Johnny Habla at Amram Rivas; board 4 Daniel Causo at Ramon Raagas; board 5 SCA president at NCFP director Atty. Constantin Marcaida ng Honda-Isuzu chess team at Raymond Baon.
