Niño Muhlach faces 90-day license suspension over Antipolo accident

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Niño Muhlach’s driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days following a recent road accident in Antipolo City that damaged several establishments and left one person injured.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) also issued a show cause order (SCO) against Muhlach as part of its investigation into the incident.
The agency likewise placed an alarm on the vehicle involved in the accident, preventing any transaction involving it while the investigation is ongoing.
Muhlach admitted that he fell asleep while driving, which he attributed to fatigue, resulting in the collision.
The actor has expressed willingness to take responsibility for the incident, saying he will shoulder the medical expenses of the injured individual and pay for the damage to the affected properties.
Muhlach is scheduled to appear before the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division for a hearing on Friday, August 28.
The hearing is expected to give Muhlach an opportunity to respond to the allegations and explain the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The LTO’s administrative proceedings are separate from any other possible legal action arising from the incident.
