ABS-CBN, GMA-7 partners anew for ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ regular season

MANILA, Philippines – After two celebrity editions, GMA-7 and ABS-CBN team up again for a new season of hit reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother,” this time looking to cast ordinary Filipinos to enter the house.
Previous housemates Bianca Gonzalez, Kim Chiu and Gabbi Garcia teased about the new season during their guesting on the noontime show “It’s Showtime” last Friday. All three ladies were housemates from different seasons and eventually hosted the other seasons of the show.
The new season is on the lookout for ordinary Filipinos aged 18 to 35 who are interested to join “PBB.”
Aspiring housemates just need to upload a one-minute video introducing themselves and answering why they should become a new housemate for the new season. Entries will be accepted from August 14 until August 31, 11:59 p.m. They can visit the show’s microsite.
Kim won the very first regular season of “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition” in 2006. She is one of the successful “PBB” stories who started out as a TV contestant and eventually transitioned as an actress and host.
Prior to collaboration with GMA-7, "PBB" was exclusively shown on ABS-CBN as part of the popular "Big Brother" franchise.
ABS-CBN and GMA-7 previously collaborated on the two seasons of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition,” where Mika Salamanca, Brent Manalo, Caprice Cayetano and Lella Ford won through voting.
