Put3ska's keyboardist Bing Austria dies at 62

MANILA, Philippines — Veteran Filipino musician Bing Austria has passed away at the age of 62.
Through a Facebook post, the musician's family confirmed the sad news.
According to Bing's family, he passed away after a week-long battle with sepsis while confined to the intensive care unit (ICU).
“After more than a week battling sepsis at the ICU, Abraham ‘Bing’ Austria is now painless and sent off by his family and loved ones to a nice place,” the family said.
Bing's family expressed gratitude to those who provided financial assistance during the keyboardist's time in the hospital.
“We are deeply grateful for all the financial support and assistance everyone has extended. Your help gave Bing a fighting chance,” it said.
Meanwhile, singer-comedienne Tuesday Vargas paid tribute to the musician who served as her "mentor" and "brother."
“Thank you for the lessons, the tough love, the shared history, and the music that changed my life. The local scene will never be the same without your style and your fire, but your legacy lives on in every beat we play,” Tuesday said.
Bing served as keyboardist for the bands Put3ska and Tropical Depression. He was also the frontman of Juan Pablo Dream.
