Banat Opinyon

“Abandoned”

IYO ANTOY - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

Atong kutluon kining namantala sa The Freeman:

“Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama admitted he felt “abandoned” by his political allies when no one, except Councilor Donaldo “Dondon” Hontiveros, joined him in the prayer rally with former President Rodrigo Duterte at the South Road Properties (SRP).”

Iyang gi-mention ang ngalan si Konsehal Nestor Archival, Sr. (pagka-Kongresista unta kadto North District), apan matud pa: ‘now out of the list.”

Si Former Mayor Tomas Osmeña, sa iyang bahin, mi-endorse ni Archival “to run for mayor under the banner of Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK).” Ug interesado usab siyang mahimo nga running-mate ni Arcihval.

Ug kinsa man unya mamahimong ka-tandem ni Mayor Mike? Gihugon-hugon man to nga si ABC President Frankin Ong. Good.

Nia: “Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama said there’s no change in his political relationship with Vice Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia despite the latter pushing for the temporary halt of the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) project.”

Apan, mi-warning siya sa uban niyang ka-prtido, to be “very careful” and that he still means what he said by “enough is enough.”

Gwen Garcia. “This prompted Rama to ask the governor to stop meddling with the city’s affairs.”

Kompletong pamahayag ni Rama: “I am looking at it… but this shall all be circumspect because I already made a statement ‘enough is enough’. There’s no pretension here. I mean, [this] is my 32 years already serving Cebu City… my colleagues should be very careful, very careful. But talking about political changes, of course so far, [it’s] the way I want.

“I will] not be talking about it. October is still far behind… but the most important thing, remember I am an independent mayor."

Sa kaulohan, niay nindot nga balita, giulohan. Susidies eyed for minimum wage earners.

Mao kini ang gilantaw sa House committee on labor and employment, ‘to offset inflation and its negative impact on their living conditions” Bitaw. Maayo kay nakahunahuna kamo niini.

Pangutana: “Can the government afford wage subsidies?” Mixed ang mga reaction. “Workers’ groups say the wage increase could help them cope with high cost of living, while employers claim they would be hard put and warn of layoffs and company shutdown.”

Matud pa, “the wage subsidy, we will also continue to find measures that could help us come up with a win-win situation for all involved.”
