Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano has proposed the decentralization of government departments which are crowding in Metro Manila. It will be recalled that then President Gloria Arroyo tried this during her term but to no success. Some departments were transferred to the Visayas, others in Mindanao but some employees complained reasoning out that it would cost them big money to move their families to places outside the NCR where they have long established residence.
