THE EAR - The Freeman

* MISSIONARIES. Two Caucasian backpack travelers on board a passenger bus bound for Samboan, Cebu, entertained fellow passengers with religious songs as the bus was traveling. Our Ear informer learned that they were missionaries for a less-known non-Catholic congregation based in the Solomons.

* PINOY HEAD. They told our informer that the head of their congregation of about a thousand people was a Filipino Methodist from Baguio City. They were bound for Samboan from where they were to go to a place in Negros Oriental by sea, where their congregation was establishing a chapel. "We like working in the Philippines because the inhabitants are God fearing," they said.
