NEW YEAR'S EVE. Two Caucasian women were seen celebrating New Year's Eve with some streetkids on Colon St. in the vicinity of Oriente Theater. It was almost midnight.

AMUSED. Two Caucasian backpack travelers (both women) looked amused as they watched an old man (not really old, maybe about 60) repair some pairs of old shoes as he sat on a hollow block along a roadside (Junquera). An Ear informer said the two women were amused all the more as the old man repaired a broken umbrella as he waited for the glue or rugby to dry up on the pair of shoes he was repairing.
