Profession: Gambler

PROFESSION; GAMBLER. His neighbors call Tony (not his real name) "Engineer" but he told an Ear informer that he calls himself "professional gambler." His "work places" are the casinos, cockpits and private homes where mahjong sessions are held. "Propesyonal nga sugarol ko sukad pa sa akong pagkahagbong sa engineering exam nga kinse ka tuig na," Tony told the Ear informer.

LUCKY GAMBLER. Tony doesn't believe in the popular saying that "Wa'y nakuwartahan sa sugal." He said maybe it's true but he has been able to provide his wife and a daughter (dalagita) a decent home. "Akong gisumar-sumar ang pilde ko sa sugal tali sa nadaug ko, mas daghang baya ko'g daog kay sa pilde," Tony said.

NEVER EMPTY-HANDED. Tony said even if it's a bad night for him, he still manages to go home with money and "pancit" courtesy of fellow gamblers who won. "Kaming mga pro gamblers magtinabangay. Kun kinsa to ang napilde, balatohan sa daugan," he said.
