What's "betrayal of public trust"? Congressmen debated

BETRAYAL. One of the impeachment charges against Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez is “betrayal of public trust.” Some observers were seen shaking their heads as the congressmen, on the night of the voting on the articles of impeachment, were debating on what “betrayal of public trust” means. One observer said: “Wa man nila usa sabta pag-ayo kanang betrayala una nila ihapak ngadto sa Ombudsman.”

OMBUDSMAN. A radio announcer was heard calling Ma’am Merceditas Gutierrez an “Ombudswoman.” A political science professor said there is no such offical as “ombudswoman.” He said “Ombudsman” has no feminine gender.
