Taxi driver victimized by a young girl extortionist

STREET SMART. A taxi driver told The Ear he was victimized by a young girl who got into his cab posing as a legit passenger. Thinking the girl was not up to something no good, the cabbie engaged her in a formal conversation. But later, the girl asked for money in a manner that was plain and simple extortion. When the driver dilly-dallied in acceding to her demand, the girl threatened to shout “Kidnap!” The driver said: “Grabeng ilara nako uy. Nidugo gyud ko og kinintos pisos.”

SMALL GIRL. The cabbie described the young extortionist as about four feet tall, a good conversationalist, and about 20 years old. But she claimed to be a minor as part of her gimmick to scare her victim of the law against abusing a minor.
