No search warrant because of brownout

- The Ear -

EFFECT OF BROWNOUT. A mediaman joked that God still showed mercy for the controversial son of Talisay mayor Soc Fernandez. A police was supposed to search the vehicle of the mayor’s son but Joavan refused to give his car keys to the police. The police also could not forcibly open the vehicle because they could not present a search warrant. An editor asked, “Ngano wala man naka-hatag og search warrant?” The reporter said, “Walay nakadukdok sa computer. Ang-ang kay nag-brownout man.” The reporter added with a smile, “Gikaluy-an pa gyud si Joavan sa Espiritu Santo.”

HEALTH, BIZ AFFECTED. The reader said the brownout is affecting his business, his health, not to mention his appliances. He said he experiences palpitations everytime there’s a brownout because of the heat; his refrigerator conked out and his business of selling cold beverage is affected. He said, “Hahay, kung gipangdakop unta ning mga nag illegal wire tap, wa unta ning brownout. Karon, pagan hasta ming mga nagtinarong konsumidor.”
