Earth Hour postscript

VICTIM. An office worker renting an apartment in the city said she went to a mall last Saturday to participate in the countdown of Earth Hour which was from 8:30 to 9:30pm. She also wanted to do her share in conserving energy so she decided to turn off all the lights in her apartment before leaving her apartment. When she went back at past 10pm, she discovered that thieves broke into her apartment and carted away her television set and electric fan. She told an Ear informer, “Na, namalong lang gani ko para Earth Hour, gilungkaban na ko.”

EARTH MONTH? An Ear informer said that their neighbor in an urban barangay did more than observe the Earth Hour last Saturday, but an Earth Month. He said, “Mas grabe gyud among silingan, kay power off dili lang for one hour, one month gyud. Unsaon nga giputlan man sila sa Veco. Hehe!”
