Green Sto. Niño image not recognized by Catholic church?

GREEN NIÑO. A young woman bought an image of the Sto. Niño dressed in a green cape. She was told that the green Sto. Niño is good for business. She happily told a friend, "Nipalit gyud ko og green nga Niño kay ingon man sila nga maayo ni sa negosyo. Makakita bitaw ko sa daghang tindahan nga naa sila'y green nga Niño."

NOT RECOGNIZED. But then she was told by a lay minister that the green image of the Sto. Niño is not recognized by the Catholic Church. The lay minister said, “Ang Sto. Niño, red gyud na siya’g kapa. Walay laing color.” She was also told that the priests will not bless the green image of the Sto. Niño because only the traditional “red” image is recognized by the church. She was dismayed and said, “Hala, mao ba? Dili diay recognized sa simbahan ang green nga Sto. Niño?”
