Shopper: Mall restrooms must be easily located

MALL RESTROOMS. A Japanese shopper said it took her some time before finally locating the restroom (or comfort room or CR) in a mall. She said it would be best if directional signs by placed prominently on the mall walls for the benefit and convenience of shoppers. The Japenese lady said she had some discomfort while she was looking for the restroom in a mall.

CR ON EVERY FLOOR. Another shopper, a Filipino balikbayan, said that some department stores in Cebu do not have restroom on every floor even if the building has several levels. The restroom is usually on the topmost level, he said. “It’s very inconvenient,” he said. “Isn’t there a law requiring multi-storied stores to have a toilet on every floor?” he asked.
