Foreign tourists disappointed with Cebu heritage sites

Dirty, dangerous. A group of foreign tourists expressed their disappointment over the condition of heritage sites in the city. They told their tourist guide that these sites are dirty and dangerous. A tourist said, “In other 3rd world countries, we can see that their heritage sites have been highlighted and cared for. Here, it’s very dirty.”

Tour guide agrees. The tour guide later told an Ear informer that he was embarrassed by the comments of the foreign tourists although he agrees with their observation. He said, “Bisan sa Indonesia, makita nimo nga proud sila sa ilang heritage. Kita diri, kulang ang suporta sa gobyerno. Bisan ang paglimpyo ug pagpanindot na lang aning mga lugara. Dili diay ni priority sa gobyerno?”
