Stabbing?

The Ear heard a high-ranking government official talk to the media about crime statistics during Valentine’s Day. An impish reporter commented, “Daghan ra bang stabbing incidents basta Valentine’s Day sir.” To which the government official replied, “Bitaw. Lain ra ba ni nga injury kay nine months una ma ayo. Hehe!”

KISSING COMMENT. This same government official was asked to comment on Fort San Pedro’s policy of no kissing. The official good-naturedly answered the reporter’s questions, but could hardly keep a straight face. After the interview, the official and other members of the media present had a good laugh.
