Some men's stand on the finding of the dollars in the garbage dump

- The Ear -

“BLESSING FROM HEAVEN”. Some people eating in a carinderia at the Taboan area were heard talking about the $60,000 cash found by a scavenger in the garbage dump. All of them had a common stand on the issue: They believed in the saying: “Finders keepers.” One of them said: “Nganong iuli ko man nga ako man nang gihaguan og koykoy?” Another said: “Grasya na kana imo pang buhian.” A third guy said: “Gabaan ka sa Ginoo kon balibaran mo ang iyang grasya.” Oh, well, that’s theirs — we mean, it’s their stand.

HOW MUCH REWARD? A jeepney driver would like to know how much reward was given to the garbage scavenger who returned his share of the find. “Pila may iyang ganti tungod sa iyang honesty? O duna ba kaha siya’y nadawat nga pahalipay?” His conductor said he once found an expensive men’s wrist watch. He returned it to the owner and got only a “Thank you” for reward.
