How far have the police gone in the drive vs. drunks?

- The Ear -

DRUNKENNESS. There was a report in the media that the police was stepping up the drive against drunkenness in public places. “How far have the police gone in this drive?” a male nurse asked The Ear. He said he was asking because he had observed that there are still many drunk people in public places. “Kausa hikit-an ko usa ka batan-ong babaye nagyawyaw grabeng huboga naghayang taliwala sa skywalk sa may Fuente,” the nurse said.

TROUBLESOME. The same male nurse said on many occasions he was accosted by drunks as he was waiting for transportation after his night duty in a private hospital. “Mangayo ra ba silag kuwarta. Kay hadlokan man kog hubog modugo gyud dayon ko,” he said. “Dihay usa ka gabii giduol kog hubog nga bugaw ug gioperan kog babaye nga hubog sad. Nidagan ko oy.”
