Letter to the editor - Hotdog On Stick's response to The Ear article

-

This is with regard to the article published by The FREEMAN, dated September 30, 2008 under the column "The Ear", stating that one of the customers of Hotdog on Sticks was short-changed and claimed that HOS (Hotdog On Stick) does not have business permit to operate and does not issue official receipts to its customers.

Since HOS has a goodwill and trade name to protect, we deemed it best to respond to the customer's complaints. First of all, what happened that Sunday night of September 28, 2008, in one of our hotdog stand, was an incident when an alleged customer asked for her change and she had to wait just to get her change. After a thorough investigation on our staff regarding the incident, the company found out that one of our staff, a certain Ms. Edjelyn Talas has shown a very rude behavior towards the complainant. Evidently, management has given the appropriate disciplinary actions and eventually has terminated Ms. Talas for violating the Company's Code of Discipline. We always value our customers and said behavior of Ms. Talas is intolerable. We always maintain good customer service and goodwill.

Secondly, HOS has been doing business several years already and has in fact maintained several outlets all over the Philippine Archipelago. To answer the issue on business permit, we courteously assert that we do have a business permit to operate. On the other issue regarding official receipts, we again courteously assert that all our employees are mandated to issue official receipts to customers, as required by law. If indeed one or some of our employees fail to issue said receipt despite demand from customers, rest assured HOS will impose disciplinary actions against erring HOS employees as soon as a formal complaint is filed with us by any customer and after conducting a thorough investigation. Maintaining the quality of our products and services as well as our good will are our top priority.
