SUV driver threatens to run over woman who scolded him for blocking pedestrian lane

- The Ear -

SUV BLOCKING PEDESTRIAN LANE. The Ear heard that a woman was nearly run over by a white SUV when the woman admonished the driver for blocking the pedestrian lane along Colon St. yesterday afternoon.

When the traffic light turned red, the vehicles stopped at the pedestrian lane, except for a white SUV who purposely blocked the whole lane, forcing the pedestrians crossing the streets to use the outside lane, which made it dangerous for the pedestrians to get hit by vehicles making a left turn from the adjacent road.

WOMAN SCOLDS DRIVER. A middle-aged woman went up to the front of the SUV and scolded the driver for blocking the pedestrian lane.

She said, “Naunsa man ka. Ayaw blakingi ang pedestrian lane kay maglisod mig agi.” But the driver got angry, revved the engine and shot back, “Magbuot man ka. Ligsan tika ron.”
