NOT IN HIS HOUSE?. An insane woman in dirty tattered clothes had just entered the church when a security guard accosted her and told her to get out. “Gawas, gawas, ba’y ni sa Ginoo,” the guard was heard telling the woman, who obediently got out. One of those who heard the guard drive the “buang” out said: “Abi ba to nako ang balay sa Ginoo alang sa tanan, lakip na ang hinikawan sa hustong pangisip.”
HELP THE INSANE. A college instructor who has observed that insane people (mga buang) continue to be seen roaming around the city was heard saying to her husband: “I know it’s not easy to keep these unfortunate people in one place, pero at least they could be helped in some way.” An argument ensued between the couple when the husband said: “Unya nganong wa man nimo tabangi. Wa man gani motabang kanang mga datu (names mentioned but withheld by The Ear).” They went home without talking to each other.
