Doctor has no trust in his hospital's lab
NO TRUST. A newsman connected with a local newspaper brought his son to a local government hospital for consultation. The child was suspected to have dengue so the doctor told the father to have the child undergo a CBC test. The father did. When the CBC result was out he brought it to the doctor. But the doctor told him: “Go to another hospital kay wa koy salig aning among lab.” The newsman followed the doctor’s order even if he had already paid Pl80 for the CBC in the said government hospital. The newsman could only shake his head and say: “Paita oy. Hastang doktor ning hospitala (hospital’s name withheld) way salig sa ilang lab.”
EVERYTHING FREE. Speaking of the same government hospital, the same newsman told The Ear: “Libre man tuod ang tanan sa maong hospital pero libre sad ang kasaba.” He said in that hospital “kusog mangasaba sa pasyente ang mga personnel, apil na ang mga intern nga doktor.” He added: “That hospital does not only lack plaster and bandage but also courtesy.”
