A WAD OF CASH. Two men were seen eating in a popular restaurant specializing in friend chicken on Legaspi St. After they were through, one of the men - believed to be the other man''s boss-fished out from his pocket a wad of paper bills. "Puwerteng daghana," said The Ear source. The two were later seen getting into a parked motor vehicle marked with the name of a government office involved in the lamppost controversy. "Just an observation," our source said.
T-SHIRT MESSAGE. A T-shirt worn by a resident in the city''s South District had this message. "Dawata ang kuwarta, tumana ang konsensiya." Apparently, this relates to rumors that a candidate is engaged in vote buying. During Serging Osmeña''s time, he made popular the saying: "Kan-a ang pa-on, iluwa ang taga."
